The practice
Linear Workspace Architects is built on twenty-six years inside federal information management. The Department of the Army. The Department of Defense. The Defense Contract Management Agency. Governance, records, risk, internal controls, audit readiness.
Places where a missing document isn't an inconvenience. It's a finding.
The years aren't the point. What matters is that the mistakes in this work have already been made somewhere else, at a scale most organizations never reach, in front of people whose whole job was to check. You are not paying anyone to learn on your files.
What that means for you
A command of three thousand people doesn't lose track of what it knows because anybody was careless. It loses track because nobody ever decided where things go, and then everyone got busy. Christy rebuilt that environment. New SharePoint architecture, governance standards written down instead of assumed, a Lessons Learned repository so the same hard-won answer didn't have to be found twice, and Power BI dashboards wired to live data so leaders could stop asking where we are on this and just look.
Then the same thing turned up in small businesses. Same scattered files. Same four versions of one document. Same one person who's the only one who knows how any of it works. Except now there's no records staff, no budget for it, and nobody whose actual job it is.
That gap is the whole reason this practice exists. Federal-grade structure, sized for an organization that doesn't have a records department.
Who you'll work with
Certified Knowledge Manager (CKM). DoD Financial Management Level III qualified.
She is the person who does your work. No salesperson who hands you off to somebody else once the contract is signed.
But after twenty-six years, the thing that matters most isn't on that list. She's seen what it costs when the structure isn't there, and she'd rather you never find out.
What it takes from you
The thing people worry about isn't whether this works. It's whether it will eat their month. So here is what an assessment actually costs you in time.
Week one. Ninety minutes with you and whoever actually handles the files day to day. You show us what's there. Don't tidy up first. The mess is the information.
Weeks two and three. We work, mostly without you. We're reading structure, permissions, and where things really live. Expect about an hour of questions in total, in whatever form suits you.
Week four. You get the assessment. Plain words, ranked by what's costing you the most rather than what's easiest for us to fix. We walk through it together and you decide what to act on.
Some clients take it from there and do the work themselves. That's a real outcome, and we'll tell you when it's the right one.
And what we won't do
We won't ask your team to stop working. The assessment happens around your operations, not instead of them.
We won't hand you a sixty-page report nobody reads. If a finding doesn't come with something to do about it, it doesn't go in.
We won't ask for admin access until you've agreed what we're doing with it. You'll know what we can see, and when, before we can see it.
